Hello all,

My bank in NC, Iksiatbankasi (is that how you spell it?) has quoted an exchange rate of 2.37 YTL to the £.

Is this about right or are better rates available elsewhere?

Thanks

Stuart

It is going up and down like a yo yo certainly that figure is in the current area.

Has recently been down towards 2.30 and up to 2.47 approx. One day it changed by 0.05 overnight.

If you have to change then do it but general feel is it should drift up again in next few weeks on the political uncertainty. However nothing is certain in economics.

Iktisatbank is the name on my account.

Thanks CIH

We are coming out in 2 weeks so might wait and see if it creeps up slightly.

This is the web site I view just cut and paste it and it will take you to the chart that shows how the exchange rate changes throughout the day.

Staurt

My experience has been that I get a better exchange rate in NC rather than buy beforehand. I use the exchange shops in Girne rather than the banks which seem to love paperwork.
