Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports:



All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body.  The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.



This would be a 'win-win' for everyone.  There would be none of this crap about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials.



This is so simple that it's brilliant!



I can see it now:



You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion.  Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, "Attention standby passengers, we now have a seat available on flight number..."

What a good idea Tenakoutou. Although most IED's are compiled in flight with the ingredients.

It's usually best to avoid people who smell of marzipan. If on-board toilet sensors were used and the this part of the aircraft was reinforced, the bang would certainly set the mind boggling as to whether it was a device or a match too near the bowl. Question is would the green vacancy light come on after the blast?

All the same the system could be used as you say when carrying specific ingredients or semtex into the booth at the airport.

Do what the Chinese do execute all terrorists, then remove all their body parts for transplant OR even better remove first then execute.





If we include supporters of terrorism for execution we could eliminate transplant lists and save 1,000s of lives.

Exactly how does it detonate the device? Such IEDs usually have a coded trigger signal to prevent them being set off by a spurious signal such as a passing taxi. A "white noise" radio signal won't do it. And is the signal digitally modulated or is it analogue (FM/AM)?

Solve this and I'll buy 51%equity!

As you work on your prototype please consider armoured plexiglass for maximum viewer participation. Could also be given audio for an announcement like "Standby for a controlled explosion in minutes 2" followed by celebration dance music such as "Bits and Pieces".

Tenakoutou, as you are the sort of guy who believes in waste not want not are you now meticulously working on what to do with the residual matter of 0.9 ............something % from the HRDS ? The maths and chemistry are beyond me. Will what remains be so caustic that it is only suitable for cleaning burned frying pans or can you work your magic to neutralise what was an odious person to the degree of being great manure for rose beds ?
