Same as Bradus, definately rent only.Rents are dirt cheap and would not go through the hassle again of buying.

No doubt about it, YES YES YES - however I'm going to stick my neck out here (despite what the majority on this forum have said) I am pleased I have bought property here and feel it was the right thing to do. Touch wood we have had no problems what so ever. Things are going to change here in the TRNC and I am convinced they will be for the better. Love Cyprus LOVE the TRNC.

Are you serious? Not a thing? Do you really want to see the continued distruction of the property industry and our investment with it. Hope your villa never gets auctioned off or you dont get your PTP refused, you will be screaming for a change in the law then.

I am patriotic to the end but I'm afraid I'm so happy to be here in TRNC. Waking up each morning to blue skies, happy birds, the cockrel(!), no TV, lots of ants and grasshoppers, and despite the snakes and mozzies in the evenings, I wouldn't change any of it. I agree with message 15 about everywhere having it's advantages and disadvantages and although I don't have the same level of income now, the responsibiliies, hassles and worries have subsided too. Hubby and I are both feeling happier and healthy here.

Even in the petrol queues yesterday (apart from the odd frustrated brit!), everyone is so much more patient and accepting of each other.

Would I recommend TRNC - I'm not sure. I don't want it to be spoiled as have other places that have slowly been spoiled by too much tourism such as Spain or Greece. I hope the people will stay just as they are in this wonderful place, simple in some respects, most very warm and friendly. Though I wouldn't try to put anyone off coming.

Unfortunately the answer is I have to agree with Sazna and say 'No'

I only have to think of what the Days have and still are going through which totally undermines any feeling of security or faith in the justice system.

I wonder what the Orams would answer?

Hector....you've made a very good point there.

Even for the lucky ones who have had a relatively trouble free property purchase, there must still be an underlying worry regarding their feelings of security and justice within the TRNC legal system.
