I have managed to get the services of Mr D Sleeman RN who plays for the Royal Navy first 15 to take a 2 hour training session at Alsancak one night ( between the 15 aug /23 aug) for any PLAYERS old or new who would like to learn from the very latest training technices, all I ask is that you turn up keep your mouth closed and you ears open then you might , just might learn something. Also if enough players turn up we will run two more training sessions run by Mr Chris Ellor RN who also plays for the Royal Navy, these will not be easy sessions, nor do I want them to be, but lets see who is serious about reserrecting the Pumas to there former glory and who just wants to play lip service to the cause. There you have it a once in a life time opportunity to learn somthing constructive. E-mail me back at keithellor@yahoo.co.uk if you would like to attend.

Thanks for everybody that has sent a positive response, this is something I have set up myself, using contacts from UK therfore it is open to ANYONE who would like to attend, it is NOT a Pumas thing. For the people with Negative responses (yes it's unreal is'nt it?) don't bother turning up simple reallyt is'nt it.

Hi yogi1,

Due to the subject matter reading Pumas RFU it's not surprising that some people might think this is something to do with the Pumas! If you would like the Pumas to contact the players and supporters, we would be happy to mention it on the website and message them on the Pumas Players facebook group. We will make it clear that this is an event that you are solely responsible for and if they are interested to email you directly. This is only a suggestion to try and help to promote your training session, so we will wait to hear from you if you would like us to go ahead with it.

Hi Inci53, take your point but it wasnt meant to start world war 3, just thought some of your players might find it interesting, I was told the Pumas commitee was having a 2 month break to recharge your batterys so the next best thing was to put it on here. Hang fire please on informing your players through your own media as these lads don't get a lot of leave time, due to there political masters , so although they are happy to do me a favour due to the negative and some might say aggresive response from some quarters I'm not sure wether to bother.

Well it doesn't surprise me, the Puma's are not the club they were a couple of years ago. The past management, coaches and assistants have been successfully p....d off, sidelined and have resigned.

There was even a rumour (not unfounded) that some players were expecting appearance money.

Why was the club moved from the past successful venue of the Citrus tree and the corner bar?

Not hard to answer that question.

Well done Yogi1 lets get the Puma's back to what it was, good on you it doing something positive, if i was only 30 years younger.

So players, management support the initiative and lets get the club back to what is was three years ago.

Hippo, you've forgotten that the club apparently moved to 15s - that successful venture (can't remember who ran it, though!)

Too many people in it for themselves, not rugby. It's not the same as it was.

Mr Smith- Hippo certainly hasn't forgotten that it moved there 'Successful venture' !!!! maybe maybe not.

Others more qualified may like to comment on that.

I just remember when it was the Citrus tree and the Corner bar I hope that the original atmosphere can be recaptured.

When a rugby club was for playing rugby.

Hi john, as no Pumas are turning up ,you will be training with very new players from North Cyprus Warriors, who obviously know a good thing when they see it. Training will depend on there level of expertise

You know I would have loved to take advantage of this great opportunity, but I am in the Karpaz (on hols) for a couple of days with the family.

Hope this goes well and that you run some more when the chance arrives!

Have fun Warriors!

Cheers

Sadly an elderly member of a family friend has passed away peacefully in his sleep, our heartfelt condolences to Brad and his family. The funeral is weds p.m. so rugby training is posponed to a future date. I'm sure everyone will understand.
