I agree measey, give it to the pensioners. In fact they should take away all benefits from anyone under 60 and give it all to the Pensioners. )

The trouble is the Home Office have a duty of care regarding prisoners and their safeguard, and are therefore responsible for the welfare of all those banged up. In most instances when one slips in the shower, the matter goes unnoticed, though with such a high profile prisoner the Home Office must be shxxxting a brick.

It is most likely his claim will be upheld, and my guess he should cop for about £500k, though he will have trouble spending it, unless of course they let him out early.

I think once someone is convicted and jailed they should lose all rights to sue (this should be a condition of their sentence). They have put themselves in that position, so they should accept the consequences of whatever happens to them.
