Which rule is causing multiple post to be closed?

Simbas, you keep closing threads for transgression of a 'rule' about multiple threads but this rule is not actually one of the site rules... please explain why you keep closing them quoting a rule being broken but not saying which one it is...



PS I know there is an agreement that businesses should not post more than once per week... but it's not a rule... is it? If it is I can't see it.



Why not add it to the rules?

By the way Gavin, you are right - it should be added to the rules despite the fact that a 'sticky' thread was posted outlining our intentions regarding multi posting, which, by the way, most posters have seen and yet still some abuse!

Hi Groucho , sorry for late reply , i had gone out . As No1 says it is 1 a day , and yes , to new members unless they follow the board before posting it must be confusing . But actually i do tell people if they are new posters . Actually someone on the board over the past few days was commenting that it was "one rule for one and one for another ". Now while it is not done intentionally , i could see what he mean't by it . So just trying to be fair and taking on board members comments . Sorry but not everybody is going to be happy with everything .

Why do people abuse the board? Surely if people posted with a little bit of common sense then there would be no need to have forum admins and rules. I for one would welcome a board that is self regulating but unfortunately with the amount of members/posters that cannot behave sensibly then these sort of problems will arise. One further note is that if you do have a problem with moderation (which it appears you do) then discuss it off board via e-mail with the forum admins. I am sure that is not the first time you have been invited to do that.

I've only ever had one reply from Izzet in the years I've been a member. As an example, on no less than 3 occasions I've sent a replacement picture (that conforms with the rules) and does it ever get actioned? No - total waste of time....



I don't have a problem with the rules - but this gentleman's agreement isn't one of them! I was pointing out merely that it should be... Bill understands, why don't you? I was simply saying don't keep quoting rule violations if this happens because until it's added to the rules it is not one - is it?
