Like many I am trying to work out best tv package for my villa that I

At the moment I have basic digiturk however I am contemplating whether it is worthwhile upgrading to sky

Does anyone have a Digiturk package which provides Prem football and extra English tv?

I have tried to work out Digiturk options however the website doesn't seem to have English language option

Any advice would be appreciated

Tangerineman, there is a Movie package which has extra film channels and entertainment channels, mostly american. The price is just under 50tl per month.



There is also a Lig TV package which has the movie channels and a Turkish League football matches, but not the extra american entertainment channels. That is just under 80tl per month.

Well they do play alot of the premier league games anyway, and all of the world cup was shown on the movie package which we have, but I dont think that there is one channel on any package that is dedicated to it. Ask Y, as he may have more idea.

Of course Spormax comes with Turkish commentary, if you want English commentary then you need to use a VPN to enable Radio 5 Live and Radio 5 Live Sport Extra via your computer.



Works well for Formula 1 GP as well..

I have had Digiturk for 6 years and pay annually. Initially I paid an additional premium annually for Premiership football but lost most of the viewing as the Premiership kept changing viewing contracts each Season with different service providers. For the last 12 months I have paid an annual premium for the basic package (over 140 channels) plus 10 lira cash a month for the Sportsmax channel.(No 78). This gives me live coverage of no less than 5 Premiership games each weekend plus midweek games including what I believe would be pay to view matches in UK ie I regularly watch the top four teams. English commentary is at a push of a button on handset and same as Sky. Recently I have been paying the cash part in 3 month payments risking 30 Lira but saves on travel and more convenient. There is also the bonus of regular La Liga games plus Barcelona, Real M etc but without English commentary. Payments made at Digiturk sub office in Girne. Hope this is what you are looking for !

Was going to upgrade to sky but after buying multi room here and then £600 for installation I'm not going to see much change out of a grand

Think for now I'll go for your option unless anyone has a better idea

I want sky eventually but as this is a holiday home cost is too high to justify

can recommend digiturk, have the same package as deputydawg. spormax shows loads of prem football. have just upgraded to the plus package which includes some HD channels and the ability to record programmes.

Tangerineman, what else did you expect from a former fee earner of Birketts in Ipswich ? Will you soon be bringing back Mortenson and Matthews as the Premiership needs some oldie's to teach the youngsters the quality football required to justify their inflated wages ?

I'm in Cyprus for our first game Don't ask how I managed to mess that up

Planning a bit of a celebration as it's my birthday as well

Hoping a few Pool fans will get together to watch our first humiliation

As at today we still haven't signed a player

Even Stead turned us down

Going to be a difficult season

Belated congrats on your teams achievement and early congrats for the forthcoming birthday. When you are fully tooled for TV football, do not forget the small generator. Power cuts now few but very frustrating if you miss your team's winning goal !

Just a note re. digiturk and paying up front. If you have to cancel for any reason they will not give you your money back. We had 8 months still left to run (as we paid for the year) and they would not entertain any kind of refund.

Digiturk now has a dedicated channel (82) for all premership games with english commentators, as said before loads of games every week top quality and cost me an extra 10TL per month onto of basic package cost great value
