Agree pretty boring.

Meeting some friends down The Paradise this afternoon to watch the race, and to make it interesting, have backed Nico Rosberg for a tenner eachway at 66-1.

Just checked Mcbookie.co.uk and they have ole' Nico at 100-1, paying 1/3 odds EW to 2 places.

Still a dodgy bet that one.

Good luck if you fill yer boots.

Re: Msg 1,

mx6, we were posting at the same time - ESP? I am glad you are watching!

Re : Msg 4,

homerj, Do you know that Petrov was fired last week and then re-instated? I wouldn't put my money on him.

Barring disasters,RBR should sweep the board.

Only Ferrari can get close at the moment.

I'll watch the start and then go back to sleep until the World Superbikes come on later on Eurosport.

Re: Msg 7,

Privet mx6,

I picked it up on the German F1 Forums amongst gossips - the only official info you'll find is that Renault's team director strongly denies the rumour!

Anyway, Petrov's contract was only for a half of the season and they were under no obligation to extend it in a first place.

Mark,

They are all boring, unless there are several multi pile ups. Even then it gets boring cos they have a pace car to slow everybody down afterwards!!!! YAWN, YAWN LOL

rigsby, I won't even mention Rubino overtaking God (who is under investigation now) and Webber lapping him with the words : " Oh, it feels SO good!"

Clarissa

You could be right

It will be interesting to see what the officials make of Schueys attempt to put Barichello into the wall once he realised that he had the jump on him. Then again, nothing that he hasn't done before !!

I am sure he will just call it hard racing

McClaren losing a car and having their other car lapped will be a bit worrying.

Webber for World Champ this year ??? Well worth a punt methinks.

Clarissa,God has been punished with a ten place grid penalty for the next race.It wont affect him too much as his qually is rubbish anyway.I have gone right off him after today, who does he think he is?Senna maybe.Petrov drove a good race today.Do you know where i can get some wheelnuts for a Merc? and a gearbox for another Merc? The bbc pundits says when drivers overtake Schuey they think its as good as a trophy. The Red Bull pit crew got excited when Webber passed him,or was it lapping him?

Michael Schumacher has lost the edge but not the red mist... he thinks the young pretenders owe him respect but it's driving skill that demands respect and he's not really displaying much...

He should never have returned to the sport; it's sad to see a past-master humiliated... his driving is now borderline cavalier and downright dangerous..

To be 'fair' to Schumey [ not] ) when Mansell returned from two years in Indycars ( totally different cars - no carbon fibre brakes in Indy cars - he hoped straight into the Williams and out-qualified EVERYONE - incl 'God'

He got passed early on in the race, but on re-finding his race pace went on to win - 'God' having 'taken out' Damon Hill

I gave Shumacher half the season to adjust to the car - less torquey engine, different tyres, etc. but now that time has passed... Mercedes should give Nick Heidfeld three practise sessions and watch the difference ...

I understand this respect his input - but is even THAT paying off ? His team-mate is simply faster

Don't be under any illusion tho...

Not if but when Merc give him a good car he will be at the front challenging I believe Alsono & Kubica are the best other 2 best drivers in F1 wouldnt it be nice to stick all the F1 drivers in A1 grandprix cars which are all the same & see who would come out on top?

Hi Homer

If 'Shumey' is still so 'hot' why is Rosberg so far ahead in the points ? The car seems good enough for him..

Perhaps we could just put 'em all in Top Gear's reasonably priced car ? ... Ruby is beating 'the stig', Hamilton, ( wet and oily !) Button and Webber's ( really wet ) - note Shumey 'DNF' .... ( hmmmmm)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_test_track

[ See F1 - further down ]

))

Kimi hasn't shone in a Rally Car - http://www.wrc.com/results/ - can we expect to see him back in F1 ?

Would Sebastian Loeb be expected to win in F1 ?!

Car Tester - YES, race distance no - 'God' has HAD it..

Rosberg is a great up & comming driver without a doubt & if the Merc was developed for Nico he would be near the front without a doubt... but lets be real hear... the car was swb & MSC want it lwb & it's now lwb...

Merc want to win & right or wrong they beleive MSC is the best way to obtain this so the car will move in the MSC direction not Nico's, MSC will be at the top & if Nico can drive MSC's way he will be there too but if he can't he will just be another Rubins/Irvine ...

I don't like MSC ! but I like the fact that with him being in F1 it's big news...

I watch F1 year in & year out but it can get boring on occasions but with MSC & Alonso it tends to remain in the public eye so I am loving the cheating so & so being back in the sport... Don't you think it adds to the excitement?
