Help...........................Desperate!

Went against everything we said we wouldn`t do, last Friday this cute little dog appeared at the back of our villa somehow she managed to squeeze through the front gates, first mistake we said hello second big mistake gave her some food. She has now been bathed and generally sorted out. We have huge problem though we are going back to the UK 2 weeks today 16th August and there is no way we can just turn this dog out again. She needs a home, she would make somebody a wonderful pet she is so very friendly, loving and desperate for company. Could be one problem she looks as if she could be pregnant. Please, please can anybody help or have any other ideas, we know KAR may take the dog but we are looking at that as a last resort.

Our mobile number is 05338477013. Thanks for your help.

Tim & Judith if you live to the left of the Riverside roundabout the other side of the small ravine, our villa is near there, there was a dog that looked very similar to the one in photos, it used to belong to NC family that lived in one of the villas on our small complex, it was left alone for long periods as the couple who owned it were always out, sorry cannot help you anymore than that as we are back in UK and do not come out again until Sept.

Hi Peter

Thanks for that info, we live on the other side of Alsancak near to the Lapta school, so I don`t think it could be theirs unless they decided to `dump` the poor animal due to the fact she could be pregnant over this side of the village which, as we all know the TC`s have been known to do.

An update on the dog she is very well behaved, we are taking her on short walks, she seems to be house trained and has not been any trouble at all she will make somebody a lovely pet.

We now have a name, she seems to answer to `Maggie` so Maggie it is. So please somebody find her a home before the 16th August.

Thanks for trying anyway Linda!

Please can anyone help at all getting desperate now.

We fly back to the UK one week on Monday. If anybody has any ideas at all please help.

Sadly Maggie is settling in at our house, she is loving family dog, she would not survive on the streets, she loves the company of people.

Somebody somewhere!

Maggie update!

We have been to the vets this morning. The good news, Maggie is a healthy dog, the vet put her age at about 1year and gave her a worming tablet so we now have a fit and healthy dog. The not so good news in respect of trying to find her a home, is that she is pregnant and the vet thinks she is about 2 weeks to go before having the pups.

We have been in touch with KAR and told them the situation, sadly they are full to overflowing, the lady said she will do her best and she has put Maggie on their list but is not to hopeful that they can house her before we leave on the 16th Aug. She did ask if it would it be possible for somebody to foster the dog short term to give KAR a bit more time to take her at the kennels so we are asking our neighbours and pleading for somebody out there that may be able to help in the short term.

Getting very desperate....................................Please help!

We are still trying very hard to find a permanent or at the very least a temporary home for Maggie and KAR have been very supportive and have said they will find her a space but the problem is when. It is now only 1 WEEK before we return to the UK but we will be back in the TRNC mid Sept. for about 8 weeks before we return once more to the UK for winter.

We are still hoping that somebody somewhere can foster her until KAR take her, or at the most it would be until we get back in Sept. we would then try once more to find them a home. If anybody is thinking that they could possibly help in the short term and require more details please, please ring or text us on 05338477013.

Very very desperate........................but still hoping!

Maggie update

Hectic day yesterday the puppies arrived! We could see she was in labour then it was obvious she was having problems, we rang the vet who advised us to bring her in. She had to operate and sadly the first pup died but she had another 2 and they are doing well and Maggie is fine. The dogs are now with us for the next few days, then KAR will be looking after them, which is a huge relief to us as we are going back to the UK on Monday. Thanks again to KAR for all their help yesterday and for finding a space for Maggie. We will be back in the TRNC in Sept. and will be in touch with KAR to help find Maggie and her puppies a permanent home when they are old enough. If you think you can home any of these dogs in the future please get in touch with KAR (Tel. 05338694098). Thanks to all of you for your help, not there yet, but lets hope for once we may have a happy ending.
