There will be a shop opening soon down near the new harbour that sells small electrical home appliances.

Ah - breadmakers - I remember them well. They're the things in the back of the cupbord next to the toasted sandwich maker aren't they..... usually covered in cobwebs.

A freind of mine used to go to one of the bakers in Lapta and buy the dough uncooked from them - take it home and add all sorts to it - onion or olives , cheese , spinach whatever takes your fancy and then bake it ! Easy and lovely !!!

Just an idea!!!

The bakery near the 'dirty garage' on the karsiyaka side of Lapta- just down from the the police station on the left. Ask for Hamur... a bit cheaper than bread but you can fool your visitors that you made it yourself! Most bakeries will do this for you but this one is my fave.
