What a great day, well done Teresa and team. Unfortunately there will always will be some problems in these sorts of events but all in all a really, really great day. Thanks for the entertainment and raising 560 lira for the Old People's Home in Lapta was a terrific achievement - thanks for your contributions guys.

A "fun" day spoilt by a team who HAD to come third. Shame it wasn`t given to the Welsh kids. Did changing paddles (as the Karsiyaka Kerewes did) go against the rules? Maybe next time adults should be banned!

It was a good day but I think the course was a bit ambitious. Far too long for the youngsters. One circuit would have been enough for them to give them a fair chance against the old farts!

spud50; Don't worry about the raffle prizes, if you weren't there for the draw and your number came out it was put back into the raffle.

RE msg 26, pussycatuk: (...) you hear so many times now that money was raised for charity and ended up going in peoples back pockets. (...) => That's the main problem on this board: far too many posts with hearsay and seldom checked socalled "facts" and backgrounds.

Msg 26 if you read msg 21 you will see who the money was raised for, this combined with 550 lira raised by the Celebrity bar for two events will go to the Lapta Old People's home. This will not be given as money, we have a Cypriot gentleman who is mediating to find out what they need - we will post the results of this on the Forum, don't worry if your money was involved it will be well utilised! Thanks again for the 560 lira raised on Sunday to all you lovely people out there. Please can we put an end to all the nastiness going on, we had exactly the same with STARS IN THEIR EYES where Sandra and Pete put their all into the event only to end up being vilified just as Teresa and Ogan are being now - what is a person to do in this country to make the miseries happy?

congratulations then and very pleased. My mother was married a few weeks ago and instead of presants she had donations made. She has just given 1000tl to 112, 1000tl to Cheshire homes and 1000tl to Karakum special needs. I support all charities here in North Cyprus I just dont want anyone taken advantage off.

pussy i dont think they can be taken advantage of, i know every penny we make for cheshire homes goes to them, i know every penny i make for ismail goes to his cause. The others I support indirectly Children in Need, i collect items for them to sell and give a hamper for their cause, wish I could do more, then the SOS at xmas, presents brought in by my clients, each and every one go. God I wish I could make my doggies a charity they cost me a fortune. Im on No 27 dumped dog now. thats my manicure fund gone, vets feeding etc. oh well their need is greater than mine. who have i got to impress im too old now. Dont fel that people rip off they are so accountable, if not to the authorities but on here. Hope you are both ok, missed you xx
