Maybe this should be brought to the attention of the RSPCA in Europe....maybe they can do some work here, although i admit they'd have their work cut out for them...but i know there any are hundreds here who would volounteer any help they may need....

Not quite sure how you'd go about this....it was just a thought....any other ideas?

Meanwhile, definitely talk to the police or maybe even someone from KAR could go and speak to the owner...?

If this is near Aphrodite restaurant it could belong to the owner there!

make sure the water is warm and not too much. you can give a horse colic (can then twist gut) if water is cold or too much is given at one time if left without water for a long time. Owner then will have the right to sue you and i bet here is is really possible. Unfortunately kindness can kill too.

I have been down and spoke to the Horse's owner, there are two of them (horses). We took his truck around, he has a big water tank on the back and we gave the horses a dustbin full of water each. They had already been fed and watered in the morning. They do have food there, hay, and the other horse was in the shade. The horse in the photo had been moved because they had been fighting. The owner has also called the vet after I pointed out that the horse was limping and his leg was swollen. The owner also has four other horses , a foal and a donkey. As I left he was taking the truck around them all in turn and watering them. They all had access to food.

I have a horse which lives a life of luxury compared to this poor animal. In fact it gets better treatment than some humans. I wish I could do more to help. I did once bring over lots of horsey bits and pieces for the" Riverside" horses ( I had ridden there and their equipment was very old and broken) I did not even get a thank you.
