Do you mean for mobile 'phone or 3G internet access?

And what area? - your location isn't given in your profile...

Hi Pipie, we live in Tatlisu and found Telsim to be the best for our internet (it's also the cheapest). They have a promotion on at the moment and I think it costs 99TL for the modem and 2 months free 1GB access. Depending on how much you use the computer you will probably use the 2 months up quite quickly but you can then buy monthly. The dongle on it's own was 139TL and the month charges were 500MB - 15TL, 1GB - 25TL, 3GB - 45TL, 5GB - 65TL, 10Gb - 90TL and 15GB - 140TL. We tried Turkcell first but the signal was awful and we've had no problems with Telsim even through all the storms and high winds last winter! Do you know anyone who has either or for you to try first? Depending on where you are you could try ours to check out the signal strength and speed.

My god those prices are scandalous!

Dongle £20 or even free on some bands plus 5GB access for £12 to £15 a month. The most I can find for 15GB access is £23.

As always because only 2 companies have the market to themselves, they get away with charging what they like.

Pipie,

I was going to say more or less the same as booitisme - information gleaned solely from reading the forum, not from personal experience.

I thought that it was important to clarify the question that you were asking, so that you could receive relevant answers, and when booitisme answered so fully and succinctly from personal experience, I felt that there was no point in adding anything - particularly "I was going to say that!"

Hi Pipie, tried to email but for some reason it wouldn't go through - it came up saying yours isn't a valid email address! I will try again later to see if I have more success - it could just be me doing a typo
