Tatum1,

Can I suggest a visit to Lambusa Market this Saturday and talk to the watch repair man there. He is highly qualified and I think he also deals in clocks.

The Clock-Maker / Watch-Repairman at Lambousa Market is Des. He's very good.

Des Robert's mob:05338478511.

He made a wonderful job of restoring my large black forest cuckoo clock, and also a 17th century german mantle clock.

Des Roberts is a member of the CMBHI .. craft member of the British Horological Institute and consequently has had excellent training and expertise to repair clocks......... and watches.

Jackie you can't go wrong with Des.

His stall is in the "secret garden area" of Chateau Lambousa, not far from the bar area, normally next to the BRS stall.

Hope this helps.

As a matter of interest the movement of a clock is called the watch. So all clock repairers are watch repairers too.

Des is really great, but as he does not have to set up a big stall does not get their that early ( or he can't get up In the mornings), so would suggest don't get their before 10.00am.

Just to confirm that all the good things said about Des are true. Totally honest, efficient, trustworthy, reliable, and all those good old British values. AND, his charges are extremely reasonable. plus, the word 'service' is still in his vocabulary - a rarity these days.

Oh yes - he is a lovely guy as well!
