Last night at 12.45am the door bell rang .. Got up switched on the light, opened the door nobody there ..

I think .. Someone was trying to ascertain if anyone was in the house, they found out when the light came on & scarpered ..

The curtains had not be closed giving the impression that we were out ..

Be aware this was in Ozankoy .. Could be your area tonight ..

We had this in June at our apartment in Turtle Bay Village though we didn't even bother to get up and answer it. It was about the same time but to be honest we didn't think anything of it.................

It could have been a ghost or a faulty bell or as you said a gaco.

A few years ago we had a mystery early morning door knocker

It was a low letterbox and turned out to be a neighbours cat

It drove my student so daft who slept in a downstairs bedroom by the door

Yfred...msg 4..."It could have been a ghost or a faulty bell or as you said a gaco."

I can't see a mention of "gaco" by anyone else.

What is a Gaco please?

Cheers.

If it is not a felon "casing the joint" could it be an insomniac Jehovah's Witness moonlighting as an "Avon" cosmetics rep ? Let the dog loose !

"In TRNC they use names against Motherland Turks like GARASAKAL or GACO"

This was the first website from Google search for gaco. Surely you must have goggled it, right?

Sorry if it was too much bother.
