Has anyone else lost both bbc world and bbc entertainment, or is it my receiver?

Yes I lost all BBC programmes, tried the normal system restore, no luck, cleared all channels and started again and now OK. We nearly every day loose channels 84 and 88

Yes, we lost those and plenty more, too.

We went into 'Dodgy Turk'. They tested the box [satellite receiver] - it checked out OK.

So we were told that our LNB needed replacing.

The men came yesterday arvo and replaced the LNB. Just as they were going to check our TV to see if he box would download all the channels, the bloody power went off - so did the engineers. That was at 13.30hrs - power wasn't restored until 22.30hrs - a 9 hour powercut - thanks Kibtec.

We were told that the cost of the replacement LNB would be 95TL - the men only charged us 70TL - a bit of a bonus.

I must say that we told 'Dodgy Turk' that the cost of a replacement LNB should be included in the already substantial annual contract price, but we got the usual 'Cyprus Shrug' for that!

The old LNB had lasted 4 years and considering it faces south and has been exposed to all inclement weather conditions, it has only cost 20TL per year - one can't really grizzle at that!

Thanks Rocker tried a normal reinstall, but no luck. I'm not sure how you clear the channels first.

Tenakoutou: Our LNB is about 7 years old, so it is likely this is the problem.
