greek cypriot school history books will be revised to help build understanding

with the divided islands turkish cypriot community ,the greek cypriot education minister said.

"the changes will compensate from some omissions concerning the islands

turbulent recent history", andreas dimitriou told the AP ,and a added a committee will oversee the revision .

is the truth going to be told at last ,is it a white flag ,has the bridges began or

just greek propaganda ,maybe some of you guys can interpret.

If this proves to be true this will be a very positive and important step in the right direction, especially for the younger generation.

Depends, what 'acceptable truth' is to them and probably to late for current generation, but hopefully will help in say 10years or so.

Works best if the Turkish side has done some meaningful revision of their history books, too.

instead of sniping, see it for what it is:

this report. if correct, suggests gc "opinion" is being softened up

for a deal which neither offers them a few crumbs

nor the whole bloody cake factory

but some sort of compromise in-between

and if promulgated will give them limited relief from their history

together with some some vague promises about demilitarization,

without actually tying anyone down

meanwhile msr sarkozy is building his mediterranean compact

with only the likeliest of lads invited to be "members"

and contradicting what I've claimed repeatedly,

I hope I have the humility, p-p please note, to acknowledge that

turkey is now set to proceed through the 35 chapters

of accession to the eu albeit at a glacial pace,

after the favourable decision of the supreme court on the ak party

for as songstress-poet ms natasha bedingfield has warbled,

"the future is yet to be written"

Keep up with the game, the TC's took this in hand last year.

Main Entry: über-

Variant(s): also uber- \ˈü-bər, ˈue-bər\

Etymology: German, from über over, beyond, from Old High German ubar — more at over

1 : being a superlative example of its kind or class : super- <übernerd>

2 : to an extreme or excessive degree : super- <übercool>

But it wasn't a Nazi game, just a camp guard game. Just the excuse you'd expect from the son of Britain's fascist leader
