While in Istanbul for an eye op, l stayed at the Stone Hotel, Literally a stones throw from the Blue Mosque. Really good value, clean all mod cons great views and the 'price is right'. The staff are helpful and will even bring your meals in. No restuarant but a cracking buffet style breakfast included from about 8 till 11+.

Back there in September.

whats weather like istandul later in year oct,nov ?or even march time ?

Yea its clean and friendly, if you book direct i should think you will get a discount. I think a double room with breakfast was about €70 but we paid a lot less (cash) when we stayed on another 3 days,re excursions...not really needed as it is situated very close to the Blue Mosque, all the sights are in easy walking distance.



I would think Oct chilly evenings and November getting cold and wet.



I would rate it 3star, rooms have AC /en suite/ fridge/telly but take a small kettle our room did not have one.

Take one of the boats up the Bosphorous for the day, have lunch and then come back, about 5YTL return. Good weather till around October I guess.
