This is Union and having a son who has played both at the top level he says union is far harder lots of rest periods in league.

Anyway you are to young, you could try and get some of those Eastern Jessie's motivated though.

Great idea but i think you may have to drop the age to 50 as you may not get that many old people interested.

Please keep us infomed as i would love to see this game, or maybe a charity game against all expats young and old..

So as per the committee,

Let me get this right,

You must be 60 or over.

The game must be Union

There will be 4 periods of 10 minutes

It must be played in the West.

Really wish you good luck with that Hippo, I hope you don't get too ridiculed if it does actually happen.

Now lets not get our jock straps in a twist over codes the west team looks like its coming together. i forgot to say its three quarters of a pitch and 10 a side.

What we need now is a pundit from the East to get a side together.

As regards playing the Pumas, what Pumas?

We will be playing the art of course rugby.

I am currently a player for the Cyprus Pumas and feel your comments regarding the Pumas are both misinformed and frankly ridiculous. The club is in it's close season and training for the 2010/2011 season is yet to be begin. However the club exists and will be playing rugby this coming season to the extent that the "embargo" in the TRNC allows.

I will not enter into a debate with you as you often make postings with an obvious dislike of the Pumas Rugby Club.

Fixtures will be posted here, and on the Pumas web site as fixtures are arranged.

I wish you all the luck with your fixture and am sure it will be a sight to behold, I look forward to being a spectator at the game.

Regards

Simhar

Dear Simbar,

Why not debate in the public domain?

Anti Pumas certainly not In fact I helped coach the side up to two years ago.

And you may like to know that the west team is made up of ex coaches and officials,

Close season, surely this is the time that you should be participating in fitness and pre season conditioning.

I feel that the move from the traditional venues was to the detriment of the ethos of why the team was formed and the support that you received,

Now i am informed a new side has been formed in Guzelyurt. maybe they will give you a pre season game.

What i and my friends are proposing is a charity game, which just may illustrate to you the how rugby is played and the thought behind it.

Instead of opposing perhaps you may learn.

Looking at your profile maybe it was you that saw an opportunity to benefit from the Pumas

By the way you obviously know a lot about rugby, your playing experience may be of benefit to our 'old boys side'

I am sure we can find a job for you in the kitchen Lilli remember rugby is a game for men played by men coached by men and the women's place is in the kitchen. he he

And before somebody mentions women's rugby it is about as natural as men playing badminton.

"Why not debate in the public domain?"

- there is nothing to debate, The Pumas are live and well

"Anti Pumas certainly not In fact I helped coach the side up to two years ago."

re-read your posts, you should be ashamed!

"I feel that the move from the traditional venues was to the detriment of the ethos of why the team was formed and the support that you received"

- You could be right here and you are defiantly allowed your opinion. One of the few comments you have made about the Pumas which is not just outright inflammatory

What i and my friends are proposing is a charity game, which just may illustrate to you the how rugby is played and the thought behind it.

Instead of opposing perhaps you may learn.

- Where do I oppose it, I wished you well and said I would look forward to it! I just object to your attack and misinformation on the Pumas

"Looking at your profile maybe it was you that saw an opportunity to benefit from the Pumas"

- what the hell do y

cont.....

you mean by that. more misinformation and malice, see a pattern here?

"By the way you obviously know a lot about rugby, your playing experience may be of benefit to our 'old boys side'"

- not old enough by your own rules.

I say again that I wish you all the luck with your idea and look forward to watching and supporting this game. All I am asking is you stop attacking the Pumas and spreading unfounded rumours about the club.

As an active player, I am sure you will be looking forward to competing in this coming season I wish them and you all the luck in regaining the Turkish league championship.

Why not just have a vets team? Hippo? The current "management" of the Pumas has managed to allow the success to slide. What about a vets team that could play fixtures against vets teams from the rest of Europe?

As much as i would love to play vets-the qualifying age limit is now over 35 with all the will in the world there is no way i am going to go head to head with a 35 year testosteroned up prop.

Now if they ran a EGOR (Elderly gentleman of rugby) you can play at any age and as you get older different rules apply.

you have to be 40 before they will let you join and you start playing in white shorts.

"When you're 50 you get black, 60 is red and 70 gold. When you turn 80 you get purple shorts and, if you're still playing at 90, you can wear what ever colour you like, it's a miracle you're there.

certaily rattled a few cages there then, come on East have you no bottle, it's for charity for goodness sake. I think that if our service people put there lives on the line 24/7 for you at least you can put your body on the line for 40mins or so.

I think it's the age range. Drop it to Egor standards and you might have a few more takers
