It SORT of makes a mockery of "they will go for a win" mentality .. Webber has had four wins... the next four are on two each..

Thank God the F1 break is over ! The Belgian race should be interesting with the teams having had a month off to try out different things . Just read an interesting article about F1 drivers wages . Alonso is head and shoulders above any other driver . His last years earnings were 30 million euros !! ,with Hamilton lagging way behind on 16 mill third was Massa third on 14 mill , and champion Jensen Button on a mere 9 million !!! .......How DOES he survive !! Are these guys inflationproof ?

I just read that Kimi Raikkonen is currently the 3rd highest paid driver in F1, despite driving in the WRC.

How funny is that?

I think I'm happy with the new point scoring system. Since Webber has won more, he deserves the lead right now.

During the 2007, 2008 & 2009 seasons, Raikkonen was the second highest paid sportsman in the world behind Tiger Woods. He was earning $1 million dollars EACH WEEK.

I don't think it really matters what he earns next year...

So who do you guys think will win this year's title?

IMO, Vettel is the fastest guy out there but just can't bring the points home.

Moto GP is a real motor sport, great sportmans, close racing and overtaking, and great skill and trust with other riders.

A true motor sport.

I would love it to be Hamilton, after Button last year it would be fantastic to have another British Champion .I think Vettel is good but not good enough to win it , also he is not number one with Red Bull so i think it will go to Webber, unless McLaren come up with something special for the second half of the season. However don't write off Alonso , he's been creeping along nicely keeping out of the spotlight , he could be the dark horse .

Yeah, Vettel is making too many mistakes. If a McLaren is going to win, it's going to be Hamilton. He's outperformed Button for most of the season.

Right now, I think it's between the 2 Red Bulls. If Vettel can cut out his mistakes on Sundays then he ought to win I think, he's generally quicker than Webber.

I can't see anyone closing the gap to the Red Bulls, they're in another league it seems.

I don't want Alonso to win, not after his choreographed win in Germany.

I definitely wouldn't write off Button .!! Nothing would give him more pleasure than to get one over on Hamilton. It is going to be a hell of a fight to the end . it could all be on Abuh Dhabi. Have you noticed all the hot countries are all left till last !!
