She invited me into the office and introduced me to the MD , what is you problem sir, I can't get my car to start

never had this problem before, please take a seat for 5 mins , he then made a couple of phone calls, then said lets take a look, oh I forgot to mention that I am from the Tuurrkkkish side, I waited for his reaction, He looked at me and said why should that be a problem, common lets sort out your car, off across the road we went he with jump leads and charger, my wife wainting in the cool aircon of Carefoure's doorway, up with the bonnet,on went the leads, turn the key sir, fingers crossed, please, please, start I turned the Key and away she went , what a big relief that was, what a wonderful man, we shook hads and went about his business, needless to say we did not stop until we got back across the boarder, when we stopped to by a new battery !

We should not demonise any group of people, whether TC, GC or even Brits! As has been said there is good and bad everywhere, people are people. Lovely to have a Good News story - much too hot to have a major breakdown!

Quite frankly it amazes me what some people say on here about the 'Dark Side'. If you were to listen to some, immediately on crossing into the South you will get robbed, raped and all manner of other unpleasant things.

Whilst occasionally you may find that the staff in shops/supermarkets are a bit long faced, I believe that it is Cypriot thing as you find pretty much the same this side. I can honestly say that in all the time that I have spent on the other side I have always been treated with respect and courtesy. I do not hide the fact that I come from the North and only a few weeks ago when visiting Polis, I was talking to the GC owner of a restaurant who was very interested in how things were going in the North. He had no axe to grind and spoke fondly of old TC friends from Limassol.

Thankfully the 'haters' on both sides are in the very small minority.

It does not take more than a few hundred zealots with guns and the good people turning the other way.

I know people say it is not a border but I first read the title and thought a ski-boarder had been in an incident.

And why did 'the wife' just stand there and let you do everything? Does she only believe in equality when it is convenient?
