Jock,

Hope everything is in one piece when you get it there.

Can you give any indication on the costs? Is it a 20' or 40' container and have you rented the whole thing or a part container?

How long should it take door to door?

Jock...good luck!!

One thing that I am glad we bought over is our water butts...we save water in them to water the garden.

If you go to page 5 of the forum under the title "Furniture/house items what works and what to avoid" dated 29/07 a couple of members have made a few suggestions that you may find helpful.

Good Luck with the move to TRNC

I am even more depressed now, still looking at the For Sale notice in my garden, until that ,s sorted we can,t make the move ourselves so really envy you. Never mind, our turn will come eventually.

Jock1.....

Yes, the hardest part is leaving children behind.

I cried buckets for days when I left my two babies (21 & 28 years old!!) but at the end of the day as you say it is only a flight away and when they come to stay here the quality time spent with them is unmeasurable compared to our lifestyles in the UK.

And you will be soooo busy when you first get here...unpacking, finding your way around and making new friends that your mind will be pre occupied...makes it less painful.

Good Luck...again!

If you have any room left in the container you could always throw in a donkey or two!!!

Best wishes

Hello Jocks

If you haven't already got them, electric blankets - I know, sounds daft in August, but come January you'll thank me!

Don't forget to remove all labels from anything new or you'll be charged.

If you need any more last minute help, just phone me

Very best wishes for the future.

Jo Valentine

hi wackyjim, how you keep getting away with abusing donkeys i dont know i.e throw in a donkey or two.for your information there is a complicated,

procedure for importing and shipping animals, into the trnc.you must have a vets certificate to say the animals are fit to travel, and then micro chipped also you must inform your area health divisional office AHDO for an application form

which you will get from DEFRA UK.if you dont comply with their rules you wont

have a leg to stand on.with regard to importing animals into the TRNC.

how simbas, holds you in high regard i dont know.

A tumble dryer for the winter months when hopefully this year we will have rain. Although mine is only used for a short period each year, I am really glad I bought it out. They are very expensive here.

Cruggs

Thanks for this...think it might be easier for me to just hack Jock's donkeys overland (far too hot in the containers) might also get Wyn to ride one of them!!!

Simbas appreciates not only my stunning good looks and irresistible charm but she is seduced by my powerful position as chairman of the donkey taxi welfare group...So Cruggs back off!!!!!!!!

hi wackyjim now if wyn did ride a donkey, then that would be cruel i know

donkeys are capable of carrying large loads, but if wyn was carrying his money as well, then that would have been an excessive load even for one of your donkeys.

hi simbas, von day ve vill expoze your liazon with wackyjim und i vil zen no ze

secret zat he holdz over you.remember ve have veys of making you talk ja

other than that have a nice day both.
