The scorching heat wave that has made conditions in the TRNC unbearable is set to continue until next week, the state meteorological service announced today. According to a statement issued by the met office, the island is expected to emerge from the heat wave next Wednesday on the 25th.

Temperatures are expected to remain between 39-42 degrees Celsius inland and 35-37 degrees Celsius in coastal areas throughout the week.

Heavy fog is expected in the early hours of the morning over the next few days.

The met office also advised people to avoid exposure to the sun for long periods of time over the next few days to high levels of UV radiation.

According to AccuWeather

http://www.accuweather.com/forecast.aspx?partner=accuweather&metric=1&loc=MEA|CY|CY002|KYRENIA&week=15

This hot spell will be with us into September :-(

Wouldn't be so bad if there was some wind with it,

and a bit cooler at night.

The heat would be no problem if only the humidity would go away!

It's been so hot we've been tempted to use the aircon! But then again - too much of a shock when you venture outside afterwards.

Message 15. Wouldn`t want to live in your house. Feel sorry for any elderly people who are immobile in this heat. Also the animals are being affected.
