Speed dating is interesting if you have the numbers and age range. I've taken part in a speed dating evening for over 40s and enjoyed it. Much like attending a cheese and wine evening without having any expectations! No luck though! :-( I suppose it's much like auctions - if the right people aren't there ... then you don't get what you had hoped for

Have also been on a on-line dating forum but other than chit chat nothing interesting happened. Paying to be on a dating site is a waste of your money. There is a good site which is free and maybe worth while even if you just make a few friends. http://www.connectingsingles.com is reasonable!
