Hi all,

Im new to the forum as well as trying to look for a job in Northern Cyprus and was wondering if anyone could advise as to the best place to search for a job as a sales/lettings agent or anything else.

I have 5 years experience in the UK as a lettings agent, speak fluent English and also have a good level of Turkish and French.

I am open to other employment opportunities but would ideally like to continue in a property related career.

Many thanks

the best way here is leg work. go round all the estate offices with your cv. sometimes you may see jobs advertised in the papers or on this forum. it's not always easy. good luck

Thanks for the replies.

I have already started contacting agencies. I guess I'm right in thinking there aren't any recruitment companies or websites here? are there any English papers which advertise for work or only in Kibris?

cheers

Have a look in the Jobs section of this forum - http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/jobs.asp

You can also view it by clicking on the 'keyword' at the bottom of the page (or TOP, if you're not logged in...)

If you're not a TC, but an EU citizen, you're best to look South!

michelle3012/Msg 9:

I'm a fun loving guy - thoroughly enjoy life, but I'm also a pragmatist when it comes to assessing the problems besetting so many of us in TRNC.

How I would so much like to contribute [freely and positively!] to sorting out some of this country's problems in order to help TRNC be the prosperous little state it could so easily be.

As far as this thread topic is concerned, didn't I give this person sound advice?

I don't see any contribution from you - only criticism of me!

Hear me play guitar at a party sometime - I'm sure you'd get a different impression after you met the REAL me!

Is that 'aesthetically' speaking, 'Clarissa2'?

Gee, thanks, I hope so!

I really think you should take tenakouto advice on board, he lives here, we live here with your talents you may be better to work southside whereby your salary would reflect your talent,it never will this side

You are SO right, Lilli - I didn't [and still don't] think the poster of this thread quite appreciates the 'hoops and hurdles' involved in 'getting legal' in TRNC!

Which real estate agent can afford to pay a decent salary + commission when the whole industry has almost ground to a standstill, and staff are being laid off, left, right and centre?

Far from deliberately trying to be negative, I would say it's a whole lot more negative to falsely raise this poster's hopes from his/her genuine and serious inquiry.
