altan,

we stayed at the rocks twice, nothing but praise for them

service food location very good

they have helped us in very many ways too

it is only a four star but feels like more

if possible you can sometimes negociate a "business rate"

staying three days or more of about £110 per room

Be aware that their bathing area is across the busy road ! but nice all the same if you wish for a "quieter situation" the Malpas or Mercure who are famous for good deals "just for gullible english" allegedley

I actually love the rocks, i love the blackout curtains,.the breakfast, yes the pool is across the road but once there you can step into the sea, the staff there are so good bring you frappes and cool towels, now where would you get that, check it all, ring them direct as they will do deals better still ring the casino, tell them you gamble and get the room and extras for free

I haven't stayed but my parents have. They said it was wonderful. At meal times if there was something you want and it's not on offer they will do it for you.

My mum said the new Savoy Ottoman is a little better though but my dad didn't like it (don't know why)

I know their pool is across the road, but was also told you have to go down a ladder to get into the sea, is this true. as I was thinking of booking there for next June, but my Sister would never manage a step ladder.

We normally book for the Dome but I believe they have closed off their little pool of sea water at the end, if anyone has been there lately could you let me know if this is true.

Visitor if you want to be central I would recommend the Dome, it's a bit tired and needs a facelift but the beds are comfortable, the staff are the nicest you could meet, it is a cooperation so part owned by the staff, food is great.

Can't praise it highly enough. I have stayed there at least 20 times while I was buying and if I sold up and continued to holiday there I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The restaurant is one of the best in TRNC.

The Dome is good, stayed there a few times whilst waiting for our builder to get his ---- in gear. Needs a few quid spending on it but clean, good breakfast and excellent staff. A bit cheaper than the Rocks.

Try Green Island Holidays. Very attentive and good prices.

Thanks everyone. I like the location of the Rocks. The colony looks fab too but I know there are weekend events and noise issues. Not sure abt the Cratos -and how easy its to get into Kyrenia and whether its finished as yet.

Hi Dee

I also stayed at the Dome and loved it, stayed there 8 times. Does anyone know if the Dome still has the salt water pool its past their swimming pool and its right at the end near the wall, as someone has just told me that they have bricked it in, so didnt want to book for next year if its not there, as my Sister has to have sea water and I dont like sand so wont go to a beach. any info would help

Smithy - you and your lovely sister should stay at Almonds, then you could use their ameneties and also pop down to Silver Rocks, etc.

Have to say my experience of the Rocks is about 2 years old now. See Trip Advisor. When you finally get a room of the the type you booked, hold out for this otherwise you will be looking over car parks or roofs of properties to the rear. Food in Table D Hote restaraunt is poor for a 5 star. Other facilities are excellent, but can't help but think that it is designed for high rollers, hence the "free rooms" for those who are prepared to lose. A la Carte and of course The Dragon excellent. Casino not particularly welcoming.
