This may have come up before, so my appoliges if it has, I am thinking of bringing my car from the UK to NC by sea container, does anybody know of companies that will do this and the cost, I am just trying to balance out the pro's, con's, and cost's.

Hi Rogerdodger

Yes this subject has cropped up numerous times before....and the overwhelming consensus of opinion is forget even thinking about importing a car to NC not only will the bureaucracy drive you daft but the taxation levied on your car will make the whole exercise pointless. Sell your car in the UK and use the cash to buy something in NC...as Delboy says "you know it makes sense"

Any of the reputable companies will bring the thing at a cost.

But then add that cost to the tax element which will be in excess of 60% of Glasses Guide (adjusted for whover is reading it) value and work out if it is value for money.

Remember vehicle must be less than 5 years old unless you have owned it from new ie first on log book.
