I had a similar thing with a packet of spaghetti, it was full of fly type things, which had eaten their way into a pack of dog treats.

If they look like small maggots they are probably moth larvae, friend had same problem. Good old fashioned mothballs are the answer, safer to put on top of cupboards so no actual content with food products

Most cereals and flours have some weevil eggs in them and given enough time and heat they will hatch.

We used to get them in our cornflakes at sea and we reckoned it was the only fresh meat we were going to get. Yummy.

Fact of life here I'm afraid. Does help when you're mixing the flour in to the eggs and water though.

frontalman,

I've heard of self-raising flour - but self-MIXING flour?
