i am a computer 'black spot' so advice/help needed. about a month ago google earth started playing up(difficulting open g e from the short cut on my desktop) got round that by going through programs and starting through direct x. computer accepted that and then decided that i could not accessing through that method, so i decided to uninstall g e, the uninstall went fine but then found that i could not download g e from the internet (kept getting a message that the internet connection was fine but could not access g e website). After several fruitless days of trying to download g e i was finally successfull, but when i try to run g e - will not run, just getting that same old message about internet connection being fine etc etc. If i run system restore will that cure problem (its obviously my computer, not the internet or google earth) some advice would be good

Hi timefore, Not sure what your problem is, but I would only run system restore as a last resort. Could be your connection speed. Good luck, Navek

System restore is OK as long as, when you take your PC back to a date when everything was fine, you don't reset too much other software. It will not interfere with documents as long as what you mean by system restore is not using the disks that came with your PC.
