Help to find our dog please

Last night we are pretty sure that someone took our dog and dumped her somewhere. We are in Alsancak, but I think they have taken her quite some way, away from the area. I dont wantto go in to details as to why it was done, but we are desperate to find her. She is a small white and tan jack russell, by the name of Tink. She doesnt have a collar on, she keeps taking them off! She would have been with a short legged black chunky dog, who is her best friend!



Tink is very timid, and it would take some time to be able to get close to her.

the more info you supply msg1 the more chance you have of finding her , ie was she barking all night upsetting the neighbours etc etc .

Please keep her in when you go out we keep all out 3 dogs in the house when ever we go out.

All I want is help to find her, she will be very scared and has no idea how to fend for herself. Rowlo Im sure your intentions are good but as I said before I am not going in to details, you have either seen her or you havent and knowing the reason she was taken is not going to change that is it??

So sorry to hear about Tink. I know exactly what it feels like when a member of the family goes missing- heart breaking!!



Hope someone sees her soon and she'll be back where she belongs!!!

Can I suggest that members put your number (0533 8450962) in their phone.

If anyone does spot Tink they will be able to contact you straight away with the location of sighting.

Thank you... No she didnt have a collar on, unfortunately we have got through 4 collars and she manages to get them off every time, once she almost killed herself on the garden gate whilst trying to get out of a collar!



I am so worried that she will have been dumped where there is no access to water in heat like this.

I know that you think that she has been taken some distance away .... but you never know.

We live relatively near to you (above Escape Beach) but we will certainly keep our eyes open as will some of our neighbours when everyone is out and about.

Fingers crossed for you. I can only begin to imagine how you are feeling.

Just don't give up and keep looking.

As a previous message said do some posters etc. and post outside of Supermarkets,vets and banks up and down the coast.

Hard work I know but well worth it.

Also, ............... really important contact the Star and Cyprus Today and beg them for their help and to print a photo and to run an article!!!

I have been reading this thread for a while and I cannot understand what is going on here. A dog is missing and the owner knows who has taken it but doesn't wish to go into details why. OK maybe not on this board but why hasn't she been to the police and told them what she suspects? I know the police would maybe reluctant to get involved in the beginning but it is now a week since the dog went missing.

The other dog has a body about the size of a labrador, he has a very glossy black coat with a very small amount of white on his chest. He has very short legs so he looks a bit odd!

My thoughts to the butlers wife..I would make sure i would get it out of him/her where they dumped the dog then he /she would get bloody chained up against a tree for a week with no food or water..for goodness sake they could have taken it to the other side by now !

Thanks jfoggy and spider for keeping this near the top. We realise that the chances of us getting her back decrease with every day that she is missing but we still hope that someone might see her on their travels.

A reminder, she is a small white jack russel, with tan colour patches on her. She is wary of people, not wearing a collar, has quite a curly tail.

OH Tinkie i feel so sad for you. Tonight whilst i was sat outside with my latest little visitor, a poor soul ran past us on 3 legs, all ribs. He ran off so quick i couldnt give him food or water. It makes me want to leave x

Iknow someone who had a dog missing here for 18 MONTHS!!!

They live in Lapta and one day their son was seeing some friends in Zetinlick ..... and nearby he saw their dog!!!



Needless to say it is now back home and DID know him as soon as he called it.

Thanks Tatum, but not everything is at it seems, and the dog that you are referring to is the dog that went missing with Tink, guess that they didnt dump him far enough away the first time round!

No the story I have told you about is definirely not the dog you are referring to.

Our friends dog ..... that went missing for 18 months..... is a separate incident entirely and this happened last year. Our friends are ex-pats here and really responsible owners and they were over the moon to have their dog back

Hi Tatum, yes, thats them, they are ex pats, I dont imagine that there could be 2 cases where the dog is missing for 18 months and then the son goes out to Zeytinlik and finds the dog there.



Any how, what is important to me is finding our dog, I dont want to get in to the details of it all on here, you have been so kind keeping this to the top, and as I said before we are very grateful.

We were pretty sure that she had been dumped and then someone confirmed it to us. She wasnt too bad on roads...but she needed to be reminded. I dread to think what her chances of survival out there are really!

Hi Tinkie today I've seen a dog that looked just like your dog. The alpet petrol station where the new roundabout is from Karaoglanoglu to Alsancak. There was a dog wondering near the petrol station, it went towards the houses further down by the petrol station.

maybe no use at all but most people .. dump dogs at the reseviour....on the way out of Karsiyaka, not sure of location but i have been told of this dumpoing groun. unfortunately it was a Brit that did this!!!!. Hope you find your pet , poor thing :(

Thanks everyone for remembering Tink, sadly we have given up hope of finding her, its been about 6 weeks now and I think she was taken far enough away that she would never find her way back alone.



Pheobe cat will speak to you later, but think I saw the dog yesterday, that we talked about and although it was similar to Tink, it was bigger and had alot more coloured spots than she does.
