john_good,

If I knew where in trnc you lived I could give you directions. However will try to tell you where it is. Coming from Girne area, go over mountain instead of turning left to Acapulco. When you get to the roundabout near Tiga Trading turn left then it is 200m on your left. From Tatlisu area go over mountain head toward sErcan, at the fly over turn left towards Lefkosa at 1st roundabout come back on yourself it is 200m on your left. I my opinion, it is possibly the largest and best supermarket in the north.

re msg 2. Each to their own. I sometimes miss a plain old fashioned sandwich on light, fluffy sliced bread.

I only started the thread for those who might be interested.

Msg 3. Not even heard of that supermarket. Is it to the east?

Hi Lapta Mike..this is Mike Lapta....how's Efes.?.That'll confuse everybody,especially Lilli !!!!

That is a very good supermarket,I'll draw a map when you are ready to go.

It's the last village you go through on the way to Ercan.

I always make time to stop there if going to the airport.

If anyone else is confused:

Lapta Mike has a mole

Mike Lapta has a beauty spot

Mike Lapta is the best Tavla player in the North !!!!

and he is modest!!!!

you lot are the best thing since sliced bread. However i love my brown bread with john west salmon red. Cucumber, salad cream, only one of these i can get here. However I do try with the local bread. I cant take much of it but i do love the ramadam bread. A bacon buttie is only a bacon buttie with kingsmill or whom ever and HP sauce

The olive bread from the Dano bakery gets my vote. Delicious on its' own or with a nice salad.
