Hi does anyone know the person /number who I contact about getting speed bumps put in down the road where I live as it is very dangerous.

If you go down to Alsancak Belediyesi, walk down the right hand side of the building and there is a large sliding door. If it is open then go in and ask for a man called Mehmet. He is usually sitting behind the desk in there and speaks very good English and will help you. He may not be able to do anything himself but he will know who you will need to talk to and help with any translation required.

We live on a blind bend and people drive along as if they are on a race track a few times I have opened the gate to be almost run over as I have a child it is very dangerous there are many drivers who go up and down this road with no care and consideration, so a few speed bumps may help slow them drivers down before someone is seriously hurt.

If it is of any help - we went to see the man in charge of all the road works around the Girne area, don't know if you fall into that area or not. His name (you will love this) is Ali Technical and he works out of the main municipality building in Girne (the one near the Turk Bank). really nice guy and easy to speak to, always willing to help.

Reading your profile it shows you as living in Alsancak, if this is the case then dealing with Girne Belediyesi will not get you anywhere.

we live near samis hotel we have speed bumps but still speed between them.

there is a swing park on that road

but makes no difference to speeding drivers
