Isn't is about time whoever controls the weather stopped being so selfish by keeping all of the rain centred over the UK and sent some of it over to Cyprus just for a week or two. Don't suppose anyone in the UK would mind, just for a short while would you

Kazzie, my hubby would be delighted to see some rain. We could stop putting plastic bottles under the aircon tubes for a few days then! While we try to economise on water (collecting it from the aircon units to use in the garden for example, not that we use the aircon much either), our neighbours all throw the stuff around with gay abandon...hosing down shutters and balconies 2 or 3 times a week, leaving sprinklers running all day...and my personal favourite is that at least twice a week on my way to work I observe one of the local authorities using a 10 ton tanker to water the grass on the verge on the side of the road.

Is it any wonder we are running short?

Sorry, went off on one a bit then!

Am sending my share of the rain over the internet to NC right now. I expect to see a bright blue hole appear outside my office any minute now.

Karen,

How much do you want. Its absolutely bucketing down at the moment. Thunderstorm two

nights back.it was running like a river down the street. Unreal, and what makes it even more

annoying is that we have Kielder Water 45 minutes away!

I read today that the local guy who supplies the water for our irrigation system has now sold his tanker because his well is drying up. Shame as he was really good and very reliable. There are a lot of people in Esentepe who will miss him.

It's dull here in N.Ayrshire & threatening rain, but just came back from Skye

where we had a week of glorious weather with 1 day of light rain! As we were

on a course we could only sit to sunbathe at teabreaks & lunch!

There was flooding here week before I must add, even made the national news!

Here we go again! Its absolutely zissing down. When is this rain going to stop. I have never seen a so called "summer" with constant rain. Not showers, constant downpours.

Back out to TRNC 24/9. Can't wait for that warm sunshine!

Thinking of a visit to NC in September. Can't afford to put the central heating on! Will be saving gas with lots of jumpers on me thinks. Unfortunately not in receipt of child allowance so Gordon Brown doesn't think we need help with gas & electric bills.
