Went into Lemar supermarket at Catalkoy and saw that 'Fluetex' flyspray was on special offer from 4.95 tl down to 2.95 tl, so decided to buy two cans. It was only after arriving home checking the till receipt noticed that they had charged me the full price. My fault really for not checking as they went through. Something to be careful about.

This seems to happen a lot and not just in this supermarket. I always check my receipt before I leave any supermarket, there often seems to be at least one item with the shelf price differing from the till price and then I go back in and point it out to them and ask for a refund. They don't like it but I don't like being overcharged. One supermarket I have found that always seem to have the correct pricing and if not are so apologetic is Ileli.

I think this is a global scam

Bought a few things in Tesco at Brookalnds this morning - 2/1 offer on razors, and 6x Heinz beans for £2 (down from £3.10)

At checkout, neither of these offers was recognised so spoke to assistant. She checked and said no 2/1 on razors and beans were £3.10. I might have made one mistake but not 2, so went and checked the shelves myself - I was right on both counts.

Called for the manager and showed him and the assistant the shelves - assistant said same good on other shelves were marked at full price.

So, my bill was reduced by £8.20 - if they would have overcharged me this much on a couple of carrier bags full, how much are they scamming over the whole store?

Lemar/Karaolanoglu:

It seems the price of Fosters and Efes has risen 10 Kurus, from 2.50 to 2.60 & 2.20 to 2.30, respectively.

On the same shelf the Fosters was also advertised at 2.50. I took a can and scanned it on the bar code reader telly - result 2.60TL.

The increased prices were the same in Tempo/Karaolanoglu.

Up and up creep the prices!
