cost of mot is 100 tl,if you need emmision test as well,thats 24.50 tl.

If you are late renewing it the cost goes up to 150ytl.

To expand further on mess 4-



Every vehicle is given a fortnight timespan depending on the the 2 letters of the registration. You should have the MOT in this fortnight - the cost goes up if you are outside this time. The MOT is every 3 years and annually the government publishes the schedule. It can be found at the police station and the car tax office for 2 places - maybe others that I don't know. My car (HG xxx) is not due until next year.

If anybody has access to the list it could be very usefully published somewhere in North Cyprus Guide on C44.



The emissions test is due at the same time as the MOT but is conducted by private garages and not subject to the increase cost penalty.
