I know some will say that there is all sorts of crap on here about football, the weather, animals, wheelie bins but that is not an excuse to add more.

I have a personal grudge againt the likes of the restaurants posts being chopped down to a single post when in my opinion it is one of the most important issues related to a North Cyprus travel guide forum. I spend quite alot of time away from North Cyprus and therefore when I come home it is like being on holiday so I can tell you that I like to read things on the forum which relate to what has changed in North Cyprus, even those who live in North Cyprus need somewhere to gain information but the rest of the world has many sources the North Cyprus info is restrictive and we rely heavily on the forum but those that don't want to read about the bread and butter of the NC area are choking it with non specific info when they could be using other mediums and those of us who want to use this one are being blocked.

proger1. And if there is a post about North Cyprus it usually ends up in a slanging match, nothing changes.

And why do i see a very similar post being written most days on this forum.Sorry Proger,i know where you are coming from but unless there is a blanket ban on posts that are non specific to Cyprus, then i dont honestly see what could be done about it.The topic that you have started has already been done to death,

Paul.

newlad, too true.

I was actually writing the content of my first post as a reply to another post and realised that it applied to so many other posts that I read on here that it would be better as its own thread.

I suppose it comes down to the contributors on the forum, some are still living in other countries and some are more concerned about a cat in a wheelie bin.

Just my opinion I suppose, the greatest irony is that if they changed the forum layout so that there were different sections it would all be solved however I did it that way on DD's pet forum and you wouldn't believe how many people were too inexperienced on computers to realise there were sub sections and complained that it should be more like C44.

I suppose I will just have to keep wading through the crap about other countries and not get the info I would like about where I live.

Hi Paul

I agree with you in that different sections on the board would be a great idea - it would save those of us not interested in certain subjects the effort of trawling through a lot of stuff. Having said that, I have no idea how difficult that would be to implement, and I, personally, do not find it much of a chore.

I would like to say that since you've been back posting (and I did miss your posts, whilst you were gone) the old 'happy go lucky' bloke that you were seems to have disappeared????

Please believe that I'm not being personal here, but I miss the 'old Paul'

Regards.

Proger,

I do try to post things Cyprus as much as i can.But recently i have become a lttle disillusioned to the lack of response. The talks are dead in the water and have been for some time. The Greek Cypriots are trying to stall them and Turkey wants a solution by the end of the year. The solution being two states.

I will carry on posts about sport as i love it.I love the banter and the crack when rival fans start sticking up for there teams.I never mean any malice, and i am basically just a "wind up merchant" who will throw something in to stir the s***.

Keep posting though Proger as i always look forward to a read of your prose,

Paul.

newlad, thanks for the boost and I too enjoy reading about the sports especially when there is an opposing supporter in the wings. Nurse awful(ly bad at choosing a football team) and I have some fun when it comes to that. The problem is that as you said in an earlier post, you would need a blamket ban to make it work. I do have a solution to that when it comes to the sports though.

Imagine if you will. TNCAVSC would like to inform all of our members that our team is now 1-0 up against those other blokes in the red shirts at Emirates Stadium today, your president (of The North Cyprus Aston Villa Supporters Club)

Do you think that would work. It is about North Cyprus, slightly.

I agree with you about everything going quiet with the talks but I feel that could be a good thing, if there is nothing for either side to scream foul about then it might just mean they are finally getting somewhere (how gullible am I) I hope for a better understanding soon. Keep posting about it.

I would have used the Celtic Football Club Supporters but Chris would have had me banned for a thousand years for mentioning the best scottish football team ever, oops, I guess I just did.

Courtesy of, TRNCCFCSC.

I had to add that bit or someboby might complain that I am turning this thread about North Cyprus posts only into a football thread that had nothing to do with North Cyprus and we wouldn't want that no, would we.

I'm sure they did, and i loved having them here. It wont be long before they are bringing thier friends over, this is my old auntie Liz, i did that picture on the wall etc. The years just go, i only thought tonight when we did a 17Th birthday party for a beautiful young lady. We have done her birthday parties since she was 11. Last week the grandson of our lovely customer asked me for his favourite chocolate mousse in the world , he is 3, but we have known him since 6 weeks old and they come every year for gmas birthday, I just love it. You can leave me but your kids will carry on the tradition xxx

Lets get back to the original question on message 1, it may be because people want to see other things, world and Uk information, or just silly jokes, or light banter.

For gods sake Paul lighten up, we don't all want to spend time in deep philosophical discussion.

Has message 7 says live and let live.

Most posts about the TRNC are boring to people who live full time here, Why? because most posters read something in the local press and post it on here most people have read it and don't want to see it again.

OK james, this is the second post you have said the same thing to ma and the second one I have deleted my first draught at a reply because I feel like I am peeing against the wind.

In My Opinion, the site would be better utilised for a north cyprus travel guide forum and not for Pakistan Charities, Pets in wheelie bins and Casino profits and the like and so I asked the question but again their seems to be a group of members who want things to stay the way they are which is fine with me but please don't give me silly comments like lighten up. I am an assertive person by nature and telling me to lighten up on several of my posts will just make me worse. I am entitled to ask a question on the forum about whatever I like, obviously. Just because it is not something you agree with doesn't mean you can judge me.

As you suggested to me james, ignore it if you don't like it.

proger1 I agree we are all entitled to our opinions and are entitled to ask questions, you just seem to make a meal of it.

Whether i agree with you or not is not the question, just don't take everything so seriously, you are I think a 100%

caring and genuine man.

So lets not get into a argument.

james, which part of telling me things will make me worse did you not understand.

I don't argue by computer, I voice my opinion and if I take it a bit too seriously for you then surely it would be best to not make me even worse, don't you think.

I will get back to what I am doing with the website you were nice enough to be negative about in an earlier post so please ignore my posts if you think I make a meal of them and I will ignore your comments.

Thanks, Paul

Paul I was not negative I wished you well and asked did you try the site some months ago, and from what you said at the response was poor.

Your comment about making you worse, you cannot blame other people for how you are mentally or physically, I feel you may have a problem you need to address.

May I again wish you well with the site.

james, you really don't let things sink in do you, I may well have a problem, I am not argueing, I am informing you that telling me about myself will only make things worse and yet you still do it and then blame me.

If I were standing in front of you with a gun would you be advising me that I need some treatment or would you just keep quiet and hope I calm down.

You will hopefully notice that I am asking what you might do, I am not telling you what you should do, there is a subtle difference but it can have huge repurcutions. Several people seem to think I over react to certain things which is fair to say as I have always had that problem when I feel that strongly but few have thought that it might be wise not to antagonise someone who has this trait, you in fact are continuing to irritate me after I have informed you it would happen.

I am actually laughing to myself about how silly that is believe it or not, I won't add anymore so you can have the last word.

Goodnight to you
