Hi. We are spending some time at Turtle Bay from the 4th-13th October and would like some advice about the weather and clothing required at that time of year, particularly with regards to the chances of rain and evening temperatures. Don't want to pack unnecessary stuff but equally don't want to look like drowned rats and shivering uncontrolably while eating our Kleftaka.

Thanks

You are unlikely to get rain maybe unlucky and have a short shower.

Temps daytime upto 85f evening maybe 68f

Shorts and short sleeved shirt daytime evening take a pair of lightweight trousers and for females a cardigan

It is a fantastic time of year to visit

I want to second what Peter says in msg 2.

Late September or early October is the best time to visit N Cyprus. Warm days and reasonably cool nights. My wife will bring a Pashmina or two and I will usually have a tee shirt as an extra layer, but frequently they are not needed.

The sea is beautifully warm and the beaches are considerably quieter than during the high seaon.

I will be out 24 Sept to 4 Oct and cannot wait.

Last October my in laws came out for 12 days, towards the end of the month,

and it chucked it down for about a week.Best to put a coat in as well.As we all know, weather forecasts can be wrong.

My brother in law is coming out the week after you so we hope the sunshine stays as well.

There is absolutely no need to take a coat.

If it does rain it will only be a shower for a very short time so no need to plan for wet weather activities.

Swimming pools will still be pretty warm 75f but if there are a couple of windy days the pools cool down quickly. Whereas the sea temperature will be warmer and it takes quite a while (into December)for the sea to cool down.

In 2009 the last week in October was really terrible but that was unusual.
