Hi Musin

Thanks ... I wish I could do that! I'll have to find a way. Do you go to Cyprus regularly?

Mairs,

I know of many Turkish Cypriots who are very keen to lean English or improve their spoken English. I can arrange a get together on a regular basis so that at one meeting you all speak Turkish and at the next meeting English, as simple as that. This is a very serious offer, just let me know if you are interested and I will get cracking!!!

Harold,

Thank you very much for your offer, I better get cracking and arrange something. However please note that Famagustians drink OZA Turkish coffee, it is Brazilian and harder. The others drink milder coffee that comes from Yemen.

If any one is reading from the Karpaz end, Denise at Decks restaurant does free Turkish lessons, on a Wednesday I believe.

Now we have two idendital threads but with totally differrent context. Anyway I have e.mailed Paul and I am waiting for a response as the best time for Long Beach. I have suggested Wednesday evenings at say 8 pm and after the first meeting it is up to the participants to decide the most suitable time.

Well Hi there everyone! Now I am even more miserable ... stuck here in Melbourne with too many students, exams, not enough time ... I am counting the days until arrival 20 September for two weeks. Fantastic responses and thank you so much Ismet Bey, Paul, Harold, Maria. When I am there my place will also be available. All I can do is wait and keep in touch. By the way, today the max forecast is 12 ..... help! Soon we will be climbing into spring but we have a cold snap. Fortunately we also have lots of wet stuff and the rain is great to have.

Cheers for now, hope the Turkish/English can start happening.

Hi Elko

Ismet Bey, thank you again for the Turkish response. I have another question now. You seem to understand TNCR property law and procedures. My Famagusta house is pre 74 Turkish title, and I have been reading that the titles are not being released. Naturally I am very concerned. Do you know what the situation is? I will be away for 3 days but hopefully I can find a reply on return.

Thank you

Mairs

Its all rumours and there is nothing solid about it. May be yes, may be no, Cyprus style. However you can always sell it to others who are of Turkish Cypriot origin i.e. TCs from London.
