Am I alone in thinking that "Cyprus Today" is a bland, anaemic version of its former self? Last Saturday's front page had the return of Asil Nadir (who just happens to own "Cyprus Today") to the UK but not a word anywhere of the new residency rules which are very relevant to all ex-pats here. Whilst I wish Mr Nadir well in his quest for justice, I feel the newspaper should have covered the new residency requirements. "Cyprus Today" is obviously geared to an English ex-pat readership and if it wants to know what what is really important to ex-pats, it should look on Cyprus44 and see which topics have the most hits. I find I get more news from Cyprus44 than I do from "Cyprus Today" and, for that matter, more news from the South's "Cyprus Mail". What do others think?

Am I alone in thinking that the changes to the resedency laws will be of great benefit to TRNC? One of the sticking points in the "Peace Talks" has always been the question of "Settlers" This is one way to have removal of some without bringing too much attention to the fact.

Wotnodeeds; I think you'll find that CT didn't cover the residency fiasco because the official announcement was late on Friday. malsancaks free press was informed on Friday and still haven't mentioned it.

What is so terrible about having a blood test once a year anyway. At least you will know you are healthy. Many people have to have blood test on a regular basis so its no big deal.

newscoop, NCFP received a repeat of the Cyp44 posting but was awaiting an article. Cyp44 is an excellent source for comments and where possible we try not to duplicate these. We're always looking for original articles.
