Wedding - Has anyone had or having wedding at Kybele at Bellapais?

We're getting married on 2nd June next yr at The Kybele, has anyone else had their ceremony here or has anyone else got one booked, if so what did you do after the meal. We have approx 40 people coming, are getting married at 1530 so by the time photo's, meals etc finished will be approx 1900, I am a bit stuck as to what to do after this, ideally staying at the restaurant would be easier than making everyone move around but unsure how the rest of the night would flow after this. There are several children coming so we need to make sure they are entertained but don't know whether they allow music etc into the night.



Ideas please as to what to do after the ceremony and meals!!!



Also just any tips.advice, ideas etc from anyone elses weddings for the whole event, flowers, cakes etc let me know.

our nephew was married there. little later in the day but carried on well into the night with lots of music and dancing.

Isn't your booking with Vashti? If so, there is more I can say, and I am sure Vashti will advise. I have seen a lot of weddings, and in fact know of yours, but have you asked Vashti for suggestions. If you are not with Vashti, then talk to Terdsa, or talk to me!!!! Loads of ideas!

Vashti did our friend's son's wedding planning.

Following the ceremony canapes were provided by Kybele Restaurant and then the reception was held on the roof terrace at the Malpas. Stunning!

I had a party at my villa after we left Kybele at 6.30pm, Got married at 1..30pm & had a meal & cake etc there first. Turkish food at Kybele & English caterers and food in the evening.

If Dawnie is the Dawn I am thinking about, she is certainly not 80 years of age, even if she feels it sometimes. She sounds very much like the lady who married on her birthday last year. A fab way of making sure hubby never forgets either occasion.



And to Eve, just to let you know I am writing to you which I should have done a while ago. You willo have a wonderful time with Vashti organising it, and I am sure it will be a day to remember.

we got married at the kybele on 1 June last year at 4pm. We just stayed there and had a lovely evening.. By the time the meal, toasts etc were done it was quite late anyway. We took our own CDs which the staff were happy to play for us.



We had a wonderful day/evening.

maz i know dawn and she did have a wonderful wedding there as has many others. Its the most beautiful venue. If ever I got married again thats where I would go. Eve as you have a planner have faith. Teresa will also help you lots. your guests will not be dissapointed xxxx

Hi if you walk out of the Abbey straight across the road there is a restaurant called The Tree of Idleness. They have two floors and in the summer we seen a wedding at the Abbey who then walked across there and had a party with belly dancer and full works.



We are planning on getting married there in 2012 and i think that is what we shall be doing. There is no transport needed and everyone is still in the same area.



But i do like the other persons suggestion of having a party at their villa also.

As a suggestion Hoots bar & restaurant Ilgaz ( Alsancak area in the mountains). The building is old Cypriot style in a garden setting. We have a good sized roof terrace with fantastic sea and mountain views where you and your guests could have drinks and watch the sunset. We offer catering but as you have your meal organised we can offer you a buffet around 9 pm when people tend to get hungry again. We can arrange live music and can also arrange a D.J. or music on your request.

In regard to your enquiry about children we can offer a qualified youth worker to entertain the children. We currently have a Saturday morning kids club and the sessions are educational based e.g arts and crafts games.
