Dear All,

"If you are travelling, with zippered suitcases, think again. Watch the attached video to see how loaders can steal from your locked zippered suitcases without even opening the lock. At some airports there is an option to shrink wrap the bag. I wish it was available everywhere".

After you watch this, you will not leave anything valuable in your suitcase anymore.

This is the way a bag is opened at the airport without your knowledge..

Many people would have things missing from their baggage, even when they received them at the arrival port UNOPENED and UNTOUCHED!

How did the thief (at the airport) does it? ..... just watch the video

Hmmm :-(

They are solid plastic, have 3 push down and fix locks, not little pad locks,no zips.

of course they can still be broke into ,but you would have to cannibalise the case and it would take too long.

Folks,

It is very simple do not put anything of value into your hold baggage.

I work in the baggage department of an airport and theft from hold baggage (ie checked in stuff) is endemic throughout the industry. Poorly paid contract staff will do whatever they feel to get more money. Something like 85% of baggage in Italian airports has been found to be interfered with. The figure in the USA is about 40%. If you are carrying anything small and valuable put it in your hand luggage.
