Another carpet lifted and the dirt brushed under.... It must be apparent by now they 'can't handle the truth!' Best not to find out... no one asked them to intervene, only to find out the facts but hey ho... let's have some more fudge.

walkerscott/Msg 1: Thanks for posting that. The article contained typical EU euphemisms as a pitiful excuse for inaction - the subsequent letters of comment tell how the situation REALLY is in the whole of Cyprus.

For more information see: http://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/ I have long said that the North mirrors and perpetuates the same well known scams that have been successfully and "legally" implemented in Southern Cyprus. It also introduces the same laws, even though they have failed miserably in the South and have done nothing to make property purchase safer. The whole island is corrupt. Read the castles in the sand article............unbelievable that this is allowed to happen in a country that prides its self as being in the EU. Shame also on the EU for sitting back and doing nothing.

I certainly expected the EU to get involved when Brits were losing their homes in Valencia, Espana. Not only losing their homes, but having to pay for the new constructions taking place on the acquired site. Instead, the EU chose to intervene in Spanish cultural affairs by telling Spaniards, that they, should not stand so close to fireworks during the celebrations at their medieval festivals. Of course, this was breaking EU health and safety laws.
