Can any piece of fuel pump on car cost 700tl? The car is a peugeot 206, My car broke down a couple of day ago and the told me the problem is with the fuel pump(diesel pump really because the car is diesel) and that it will cost 700tl. Can that be right? Can any piece of a fuel pump cost that much?

I dont want to get ripped off, if that isn't the price.

700 TL is cheap for a diesel fuel pump supplied and fitted. I had to pay 500 STG!

Serious?! I dont think all of it will be supplied and fitted, it must only be one piece that needs changing. I'm going to have it checked out again tomorrow, I hope it's not all of it.

Diesel Engines require a very high pressure pump which is a very complicated piece of kit. I had mine done recently and there were about 24 pieces that had been replaced in the pump, can't remember the price i paid but somewhere around 700tl.

I see. 2 years ago I had a leak where the diesel fuel pump was, and it was only a piece of metal that had been replaced about the size of 2 rings put together and it costed me somewhere around 100tl. So I was shocked when I heard 700tl. Reading the comments posted from you guys have helped.
