I read that a group of MP's are campaigning to scrap their traditional oath of allegiance to the Queen. This has been a practice since the middle ages.

What do you think - should it be scrapped?

Oh. Forgot to mention, they want to swear allegiance to their constituents and the Nation instead. Where will that lead us to - swearing allegiance to Brussels?

They can swear all they like, they generally never do what the electorate want.

Think Oxford Dictionary should have definition of politician - incapable of giving truthful answer!!!!!

I have to agree that they are not as transparent as they should be.

Definition of politician, someone who always answers a question by first changing the question to one that he likes and then lying about that one as well.

Kings and Queens (and the ever growing herd of Princes and Princesses) belong to medieval times and should be removed at once. And not only in the UK or England - everywhere. Nobody ought to have a position in life because of his/her birth.

As she is only the Queen of England, then I guess the question is irrelevant to MP's who are Scots, Irish and Welsh and any others in the commonwealth!

Dear Your Majesty,

I fink that these here MP's are bang out of order, so don't take no notice. They are probably Labour anyway and wont be around for much longer.
