Can anybody tell me how these noisy machines are allowed on the roads. Are they registered ? Do they pay road tax ? Are they insured ? Our Cypriot neighbour has two sons aged 13 & 11 whose grandparents outdo each other to spoil them. Mountaiin bikes, computers, pets, guitars. The latest is a quad bike, which the children drive on the roads, when I pointed out to the grandad that they had no licences and so weren't insured he said " yes" and laughed. Words fail me

We brought a quad bike here from the uk. It was road legal in the UK. You pay import duty on them and yes they have to be registered and insured. I don't know what the legal age to drive one here is? It may depend on if it is classed as a kids toy and low cc or if its road legal large cc??

Alig8a Is that the same neighbours who bought the children an Alsatian pup and because the dad was frightened from dogs it was tied at the road side until someone gave it water! If so I am in agreement the quad bike is a nightmare especially as there are at least another 4 people in the vicinity with these 'toys' and not all children! Chris

Laptamike To tie this one up - One of the grandads took the pup away in the early evening and the pup hasn't been seen since - anything else is just conjecture

The minimum legal age for a driving license is 17, so if you think the kids riding the quads are younger,go into the police station and ask to see the highest officer in charge...report them.

I think we would be appalled at how many drivers here do not have any insurance it is not checked when applying for road tax God help any of us who should be unfortunate enough to have an accident with one of these spoilt little darlings because there is no way it will be their fault
