Too much !

No seriously I heard it was 20TL , which I know won't break the bank, but it can be quite expensive say for a family of four.

In its defence though the facilities are great....fantastic pool and water slides, and a clean sandy beach.

Yes Blackpoolfan is correct......the food and drink are very expensive and very average.

Try to sneak your own in past the gate security men !

Yes - I admit thats what we have done ! Get a cool bag with freezer blocks - packed lunch, few Efes and enjoy the beach - nobody seems to notice, and than it is a great day out....

When I stayed there, the 'Food Police' as we called them, used to inspect carrier bags for food & illicit bottles of Hooch as you got off the 'Courtesy Bus' & confiscate any that they found - I kid you not!

Actually they charged you for travelling on the bus, so it wasn't really even a 'Courtesy' bus - I thought that the Riverside was MUCH better value - no beach admittedly, very '60s' in decor, & needed a bit of money spending on it. But - they did provide a free bus into town, that stopped off at all the beaches, and picked you up and brought you back. Food was good, drinks were reasonable, & they didn't search you!

I know that you would need a bit of 'Brass Neck' - but the Acapulco cannot legally charge you for going onto the beach if you do not use their facilities - they also cannot, obviously, stop you taking your own provisions with you to consume on a Public Beach

Out Estate Agent told me that he was a regular visitor to Acapulco Beach & always refused to pay...

Wow! that is expensive. I am asking for friends who wanted to take their 3 kids for the day.

keithcaley, you are right about the 'Food Police'. We stayed there on holiday 7 years ago, and of course smuggled in drinks because the prices there were so expensive even then. However they did a 'swoop' on all the rooms and did confiscate any food or drinks they found. We all got a note saying that our belongings could be claimed on checking out. What bothered me was that they even went into wardrobes and cupboards to look. In our case they took our travel kettle, an unopened bottle of Baileys bought at duty free, even a packet of biscuits and 3 bananas, still in the bag which I had bought in Lemar, not pinched from the buffet!

To make sure Google's Internet bot will pick up this thread: Acapulco, acapulco, ACAPULCO, Hotel, hotel, HOTEL. People in Western Europe: welcome in Northern Cyprus and enjoy the Konzentrationslager (Concentration camp) Acapulco Hotel.

I think you are a touch out of order here DC.

Have you been to the Acapulco. The facilities in the hotel are first class. The indoor pool and Spa are lovely, clean and exceptionally good value and the food and pastries to die for. The staff are always happy to go the 'extra mile',

really helpful and friendly.

There are plenty of lovely free beaches to go to with a picnic without trying to 'get one over' on the hotel. Its a business not a charity.
