| you will pay when you pick it up, you do not open the envelope and you then take it back to the police station with all documents..Not sure why you had to go to the police station first..could you not have just gone for the blood test telling them what it was for..then gone off to the police station to do all thats needed ? | Deniz1, They're going backwards aren't they? You didn't use to need a piece of paper for your first blood test - they love making it complicated... Fortunately I'm past the age seen as 'at risk'...........Mind you, I wouldn't want that bloody AIDS again ! |

| I have posted this on another thread but... Whats the difference between a "medical test and a medical check"? It says on the BRS Web page: If the documents are in order, you will be asked to obtain a medical test. Then it says under the new changes: With effect from 26 August 2010, applicants for temporary residence permits are required to have annual medical checks before the permit is granted. ? If what i've been told is true in msg 6, then a medical check could mean smear tests, urine & visual tests etc as alot of std's cannot be found by a blood test.? |

| Im not having a poke at the BRS or its website content but,,, Whats the difference between a "medical test and a medical check" I was told the "medical check" is for std's as there are many people coming here from so many countries. We all know if you test positive for HIV etc then you are on the next wave out of here. |

| The blood test is for Hepititis C, Turbculosis and aids. Best and cheapest place is a lab just up side st by Meredes Fealership in Girne. Go to police station first to collect form, DON'T wait in queue, just go into office and ask police guy on the left. They will check your papers, and then give you a form to take to lab. 80tl |
