I am a new member on the forum but have viewed for some time. Like many of you we came for holidays and fell in love with the Island, climate and lifestyle. We were looking to purchase and have viewed properties but after reading the advice on the forum believe renting would be the best option going forward. We are visiting again in October and would like to meet up with people already living here to learn more about the lifestyle experiences of residents here and make some contacts, in preparation for when we take early retirement next year.

Welcome to the forum and yes good luck..Keep watching the posts as I think maybe Lilli might be having a forum get together and its a nice way to meet new people.Please do post again when you know the dates you are over and where you will be staying as some may well be able to meet up with you including myself.Best wishes.

Thanks Oceana and Spider for the prompt response, we will be over from 10th October and staying at the Acapulco. Will be mobile and would really like to meet up. By the way have been following the BBQ thread - think your very brave to have the head shave but what a fantastic good cause - as grandparents we feel deeply sorry for this family - a parents nightmare and have fingers crossed for good news. We are planning on bringing some presents over for Ismail and the other children - can you tell me the ages of his brother and sister, I had planned to drop them off for Lillie at Guido's anyway. Really appreciate the warm response and look forward to meeting Up

Good Luck Linda, I have met lots of lovely people whilst over in NC in the past years and it has always been a nice experience.

Vicki my lovely when are you over again and how about Viking too..I am almost sure I got a wee look at newlad today down town at the windows cafe but not SURE as have never met him as yet and they all looked busy, maybe get another chance one day, hope so. I think he is over...

Hi Linda. We moved here at the end of April and love it. We have made lots of new friends and I am sure you will too. I am an ex Essex girl too (Brentwood) so hopefully we will meet sometime.

Flying out tomorrow and can't wait to get some R & R next week and hopefully get to meet some of you for a social chat over coffee or a beer and find out more about whats its like to live in TRNC.
