Four of us went to the Roof Top Bar last night and had a really enjoyable time until it was announced there would be a drinking game. It was to be a prize for the person who who could drink 30 shots of spirits. They needed 4 people to compete. If they could not drink that amount they had to pay. No one came forward and they reduced it to 20. Then only 2 people volunteered so they said the person who could drink 3 pints the fastest. Again no takers so they gave up.



Are they trying to make N Cyprus like Ayia Napa and in the process make people very ill? We were quite disgusted at them. Thank goodness everyone was sensible. People were having a really good time and no drunks. Why spoil it?

quite outrageous and disgusting are they trying to kill people had any one managed to drink 30 shots of spirits they would have been in a very serious condition . they should come on here and promise no such thing will ever happen again.

bad night at rooftop last night , THE DRINKING CONTEST dj repeated "THIS IS NOT MY IDEA REPETE THIS IS NOT MY IDEA" LOVELY PLACE FOR AN ADULT EVENING OUT TO ENJOY A SUNSET WITH A COLD DRINK NOT WATCH A MAN WITH HIS HAND DOWN THE FRONT OF HIS SHORTS SINGING A DUET WITH A LADY ABOUT GOD KNOWS WHAT. I FELT EMBARRASED FOR THE DUET WE TOOK GUESTS AND TOLD THEM IT WAS" UPMARKET " WRONG.WRONG ,WRONG, GO BACK TO THE FIRST NIGHT AND START AGAIN. John_Good. The compere of the show was Johnny Lee and I must stress he is a gentleman and always compere`s a good evening. I must also stress that he was NOT encouraging this. The instruction came from

the Management behind the bar and he repeatedly said it was not his idea. He even tried to hurry it on by saying if no-one was interested he must get on as he had a queue of singers waiting. Fortunately, nobody took up the offer and I know Johnny Lee was relieved.

I think the fact that very few people took up the challenge tells us that, thank goodness, North Cyprus is nothing like Ayia Napa.

We are looking forward to going there but if that is what they intend doing then we'll give it a miss.

As I said before. You look at the website and it looks a classy place, but all they have done is create a place where people just go for cheap drinks and I think the above sums it up! they will have no restaurant trade left come the winter as people that would have eaten there wont bother. When its cold and damp how many people will be on the roof drinking cheap beer?

Thank you for your support, I did try to get on with the show, and move forward.



Ok the Roof Bar have made 1 mistake. But like you have all said it didn,t happen. So that tells me that we had an audience of good people. The sort of people we want to mix with.



As we all know there are plenty of people around who can get into that state without any help.



The Roof Bar is a great place to go.



Message 3 we didnt have a duet singing last night, Only myself with a lady doing Summer Nights.



I am not in the habit of putting my hand down my pants. (well not in public)



I will apologise on behalf of the Roof Bar.



They are really lovley people and are trying so hard to make things work, and also offer us very good drink and food prices.



Every one makes mistakes. From the back of an Englands Glory Matchbox I beleive. The Man who never made a mistake never did anything

Come on guys and gals, no harm done, they tried something different and just misjudged the crowd. But no takers and I doubt if they would try that again! As for the duet, not my taste in music but you get all sorts in Karaoke and it was very well performed! hand in his shorts? well in the waistband and we, although on another table, ribbed him for it afterwards. Disgusting and outrageous? a bit strong I think!

Dogears ! most entertainers receive instructions from the owners/managers whether we like it or not. As Lee says they have made 1 mistake from which we hope they have learned and I,m confident they will comment shortly. Although I have not been there I have only previously heard good reports of the roof bar and am sure there are many future good evenings to be enjoyed there regards Barry

I for one will be eating again, they have a Chinese week promotion on and the chicken with noodles and veg was superb, only trouble was there was too much of it. They wont be on the roof drinking in the cold and damp because it is hoped they will continue downstairs for the winter.

i agree with mesg.15,get a life guys! one bad night and your all beying for blood! You were happy a few weeks ago when they first started with drinks at a good price. Cant wait to try the place out in a few weeks time when we are over,drinking games,party hats or whatever.

Easy to find it is in Alsancak. Coming from Girne towards Lapta watch for the Golden Lady statue next to Seveners restaurant, turn left then first left and it is just up there on the right. Their pizzas are fabulous and at only 7tl worth every penny.

Some one commented to me Sounds like a great promotion, Free drinks, and £20, Just chuck in a curry next time. Before you all jump on me thats said jokingly.
