Hi,

We are currently running our very small site ourselves but have been told by our 'developer' that a new law is coming into force whereby all sites will have to have a 'proper' site management company. Does anyone know anything about this or when it is going to happen???

Hi Erik,

It has been discussed that we tried to run our site ourselves but there seems to be so many problems attached to doing this, mainly the work permit situation.

What is the situation regarding running a site as owners, non profitmaking.

Just collecting funding into a bank and distributing for bills, water, electricity, pool etc?

The TRNC Law now states that a Communal site MUST be managed by a fully registered company and it is illegal for owners to carry out the running of the site. It is not worth facing possible hefty fines or at the worst deportation so employ a legal fully registered company.

Sienna , load of bull, you have no need to employ anybody, you sub the jobs out as an organised commitee it is up to the people instruced to do the tasks to sort the minefield of tax work permits and genral trnc crap, you pay the negosiated rate for the job you want done pay from your fund via commitee approval and let the leetches go and suck.
